Home 9 Project 9 Vastclicks – Rebranding and Repositioning a Dynamic URL Shortener

What is Vastclicks?

In an era where every shared link vies for attention, I partnered with Vastclicks to create a next-generation URL shortener that delivers on both form and function. By overlaying customisable call-to-actions on third-party sites, Vastclicks transforms each click into an opportunity.

In this case study, I’ll take you through how I developed the brand identity, refined the logo, designed the landing page and visualised the product to drive engagement and conversions.

The Challenge.

Vastclicks faced a crowded market of generic URL shorteners that failed to guide users toward a desired action after the click. Businesses struggled with low click-through rates because their links offered no clear value, and unbranded URLs diluted brand consistency. I needed to address these pain points by crafting a cohesive visual identity and user experience that would resonate from the very first glance.

My Approach

To lay a solid foundation, I began by defining the key attributes that would distinguish Vastclicks in the crowded SaaS space: innovation, engagement and clarity. I conducted in-depth research into competitor identities and market expectations, then mapped out the ideal user journey, identifying exactly where prospective customers would seek clarity, reassurance and motivation to sign up. With this roadmap, I established a flexible visual language that could adapt across industries while remaining unmistakably Vastclicks.

Branding & Logo Design

My branding process started with an exploration of forms and symbols that signified both sharing and action. Early sketches led me to two main directions: a dynamic “V” formed from directional arrows to suggest forward motion, and interlocking circles to represent connection. After presenting these concepts, we agreed the arrow-inspired “V” best embodied the brand’s promise of momentum. I refined the mark into a clean, modern icon, then paired it with a vibrant gradient palette to convey energy and digital dynamism. Careful attention to typography ensured legibility at every size – from favicon to billboard.

Landing Page Design

When designing the landing page, I placed myself in the shoes of a visiting marketer seeking a quick solution. The hero section immediately demonstrates an overlay CTA in action, accompanied by concise copy that underscores how easy it is to set up. Below this, I wove the benefits such as seamless customisation, in-depth analytics and integrations into a narrative that answers the questions visitors naturally ask. Throughout, mobile responsiveness was non-negotiable: I prototyped and tested on multiple devices to guarantee a smooth, intuitive experience whether on desktop, tablet or smartphone.

Product Visualisation

To bring the product’s unique features to life, I produced a range of visual assets. I created animated GIFs that show CTAs “pinned” over familiar websites, giving viewers an immediate sense of how Vastclicks works in real time. Alongside these, 3D mockups of the admin dashboard highlight key metrics and setup steps, while annotated prototypes guide users through the simple, sub-minute configuration process. Each visualisation was crafted to eliminate ambiguity and inspire confidence.
